In a survey of 275 corporations, 8% said they discourage humour in the workplace. Another 8% included "fun" as part of their mission statement. Some 63% were neutral about the topic.

How long does it take for us to get sick of the gym?
The desire to lose weight only motivates people to go to the gym for up to six months, according to a new study.
Researchers found that unless gym-goers start getting a buzz from working out, many will give up within three months.
However, exercise can create a "feel good factor" which motivates people to continue going to the gym long beyond the initial motivation to get fit.
The London Metropolitan University study to investigate what motivates people to start exercising and examines whether these factors alter as members become regular gym-goers.
people are motivated to start exercising because they want to either get fit or improve themselves.
External motivations, such as the desire to lose weight, will motivate people for around three to six months.
People will only tend to continue beyond that if they feel better having exercised, if they feel they have more energy or feel less stressed.
Feeling that switch in motivation from external factors to internal ones tends to come from good personal experiences at the gym.

Hmm, looks like Hamish has always been right about exercise! Now we couch potatoes have confirmation… all we have to do is wait and the feeling really will pass!

    Clueless Men
Researchers revealed while six out of ten guys say they know their partner inside out, but the truth is they are in the dark about almost everything!
Top five things men don't know about their partner:
    1. What perfume they wear
    2. Clothes size
    3. Eye colour
    4. Date of birth
    5. Natural hair colour
Noticing these little details can win men some major brownie points with their other half as it shows they pay attention, so it's worth putting in the extra effort to make sure you know everything.

    THE GOLD HEALTH GUIDE
Choosing a Toothbrush: Manual vs. Electric
The idea of a toothbrush is to remove plaque and to stimulate the gums & most toothbrushes will keep the teeth clean if you know how to use them.
The many advantages to the manual toothbrush include:
    • It’s inexpensive and accessible.
    • Easy to travel with.
    • Good for kids. Even young children can use manual brushes safely and effectively once they’ve learned how.
    • Puts less pressure on teeth and gums. You can feel how much pressure you're using as you grasp the toothbrush, which helps you to avoid putting too much pressure on your teeth. With an electrical model you can’t feel that as well. Placing too much pressure on your teeth can wear away at the tooth enamel, causing pain, sensitivity, and an increased risk of tooth decay.
Electric Toothbrushes: Recommended in Some Cases
They are recommended for people who can’t do a good job with a manual toothbrush. For older people or people who have less manual dexterity, like those who suffer from arthritis, the electric toothbrush may clean more effectively.
In the long run, experts say, technique is more important than brush type for good dental health.

    5 Things
You know you’re getting old when…
    5. You feel like the morning after but you haven't been anywhere.
    4. Everything hurts, and what doesn't hurt doesn't work.
3.Your knees buckle but your belt won't.
    2. "Getting lucky" means you managed to find your car in the Suntec City Car park.
    1. An "all nighter" means not having to get up to pee!
